I’ve loved Thin Lizzy for a while. They’re definitely my favorite “classic rock” band, even though calling them that seems to unfairly date them. Phil Lynott was a phenomenal song writer. His solo stuff was great too.
I actually have a Best of Thin Lizzy collection and the bio inside discusses Lynott’s death from heroin addiction. They chalk it up to “the luck of the Irish failing him” which I always thought was funny.
Anyway, my main bullet point here is that if I had been able to see this performance live, I’m pretty sure my wad would have hit the wall when they connected the two songs at 5:06
